To create environmental consiousness and awareness so that the people on the planet are themselves able to judge and reassess their actions.

We try to awaken the people to make sure serious changes in order to to save the beautiful gift of the supreme given to us to thrive , to exist.

To make the transition from an unsustainable high waste throaway economy to a more sustainable low waste, reducing, reusing and recycling economy (society) as soon as possible.

To work for along with other organisations and government bodies in providing environmental justice for all the sectors of society , for all the nations and for all the forms of life on Earth.

Our Vision

'Atharvan foundation' The name has been kept up on a Vedic Rishi 'Atharvan' , who wrote Atharva ved and was believed to be the inventor of fire in Hindu religion. Atharva ved has Prithvi sukt, which is the 1st sukt of 12th kaand. It has an entire hymn of 63 verses, dedicated to mother Earth. This is astonishing to realize that they are more relevant in today's world.

—Meaning - the Earth is our mother and we are her progeny.of technology The sky/cloud is our father and they together nurture us.

–Though we definitely need to keep on discovering newer technologies but in the journey, we must take advantage of experience and wisdom of our ancestors.

The world is changing faster than ever before. Global demographic explosion and Irrationally use is leading us towards environmental crisis (pollution).Humans are expanding their ecological footprints like never before. We are in the process of seriously degrading our Life support system and heading towards disaster.

• The atmosphere is warming.
• Glaciers are melting.
• Sea levels are rising.
• Floods, droughts sever weather and forest fires are increasing.
• Rivers are running dry.
• In oceans coral reefs are disappearing.
• Harvest of edible fishes are dropping down.
• species are becoming extinct at least 100 times faster than in prehuman era.
• If this continues for next 75 yrs, the damage would become irreversible and we would be the first species on this planet to cause it's own extinction.
